How does the dynamics of a family caught in a siege change in 2023? Built from footage shot by a father filming his family in their own home, the film becomes a video journal about how love and hope endure in the midst of war.
About the film
July 2023. Nagorno-Karabakh is under siege by Azerbaijan. At the request of a director friend, Artziv films his family in their daily struggle with hunger and power outages. He captures improvised meals, children's games, and lines for rations. When the final offensive begins, Artziv and his family leave their home forever, leaving behind a message written on the wall and taking with them a bag of soil from the place they call home.
