Eduard Nica / Belgium / 2024 / 20 min
A young man from a family of Romanian immigrants in Belgium, who was raised in the Orthodox Christian faith, is trying to reveal his true sexual identity.
Eduard was terrified of the moment he would have to confess to his parents that he is gay, so he keeps postponing it. He comes from a practicing Orthodox Christian family that emigrated to Belgium. His only support is his aunt, who lives in the building across the street and shares a warm, friendly relationship with him. The aunt, a single, divorced, and much more liberated woman, helps Eduard overcome his insecurities, understands him, and supports him in regaining confidence and realizing who he truly is.
