The place of childhood is a special space, where every corner, every object, and every detail is imbued with the value of past events. In the apartment where Andreas grew up, no one has lived for a long time, yet every object has a story to tell, in a film as intimate as a diary.
About the film
The documentary presents a portrait of the filmmaker’s family through absence, delicately framing the space he calls Home, using both details and footage from his personal archive. Andreas’s mother has passed away, his father has remarried and travels the world with his new wife, and his sister has moved out, leaving the apartment empty. Yet it is filled with personal objects that have remained in place for years, evoking memories and forgotten dreams, and reconstructing a recent past.
