When the residents of an isolated region in Siberia discover that an old Soviet mine has caught fire beneath their town, Natalia Zubkova, a simple woman and mother of three, takes on the role of journalist. While the local media remains silent, she begins posting content online about the situation in the region. After her videos go viral and attract international media attention, Natalia starts receiving threats and is eventually forced to flee to Georgia to protect her family.
