<p class="PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer" data-start="0" data-end="384"><em data-start="0" data-end="24">“Heroes of the Galaxy”</em> is a documentary about children from different countries who are temporarily living aboard the cruise ship MS Galaxy, docked in the port of Amsterdam and transformed into a refugee center. We meet Nour (11), Abdulatif (12), Laila (10), and brothers Basel (10) and Mohammad (14), who fled war-torn countries such as Libya, Yemen, and Syria with their families.</p> <p data-start="386" data-end="735">While they wait and hope for a permanent home in the Netherlands, the children try to find their place: they make friends, play football on the ship’s huge parking deck, learn to swim, and dream of a safe future. With one foot in their new life and the other still tied to the past and the stories that shaped them, they navigate between two worlds.</p> <p data-start="737" data-end="888" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">The film captures the everyday lives of ordinary children living through an extraordinary situation—a story of resilience, imagination, and friendship.</p>
