Pepa Lubojacki / Czech Republic, Slovakia / 2026 / 110 min
Filming on an iPhone and making old family photos speak and move with AI, Pepa asks why addiction and homelessness keep returning in the family—and whether love means saving someone or letting go.
Over seven years, Pepa films their brother and cousins through homelessness, addiction and moments of fragile closeness, while questioning their own need to rescue them. Rough iPhone footage collides with AI-animated family photos, graphics, electronic beats and a talking pigeon. The unruly collage gives shape to memory, shame and helplessness, refusing both pity and easy answers about where care ends and control begins.
